Drain Cleaning FAQ for Chino Homeowners
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
What is the difference between drain cleaning and hydro jetting?
Cabling pokes a hole through a clog. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the full pipe wall, which is better for grease, scale and recurring blockages.
How do I know if the problem is the main sewer line?
If several fixtures are slow or back up together, or the lowest drain in the house gurgles or overflows, the main line is likely blocked.
Why do my drains smell?
Common causes are food or grease buildup, a dry trap seal, or a partial blockage. Persistent smells deserve a camera inspection.
Can tree roots really get into a sewer pipe?
Yes. Roots enter through small gaps at joints in older clay or cast-iron pipe and grow into a mass that catches debris.
What should I never flush or pour down the drain?
Wipes, even those labeled flushable, paper towels, feminine products, grease, coffee grounds and food scraps.
Do you offer camera inspections?
Yes. A camera shows the actual condition of the line and is especially useful before buying a home.
Which neighborhoods do you serve?
All of Chino, including The Preserve, Old Chino, College Park, North Chino and South Chino, plus Chino Hills, Ontario, Eastvale, Montclair and Pomona.
How can I prevent clogs?
Use drain strainers, keep grease out of sinks, flush only toilet paper, and schedule periodic cleaning or inspection for older lines.
